در حقیقت رنج میگر در بازه مگا اهم و تستر مقاومت زمین در حدود اهم مبیاشد .از دستگاه تست مقاومت زمین معولا برای اندازه گیری مقاومت بین دو نقطه زمین در حدود 5 یا 10 اهم است استفاده میکنند .این تجهیزات معولا دارای سه عدد کانکشن هستند که به کمک میله ای فلزی امکان اتصال به زمین داشته و به الکترودهای جریان ، زمین ، و پتانسیل شناخته میشوند
